The road
Tashkent → Kamchik pass → Kokand → Fergana or Andijan → Dustlik checkpoint, then the short run into Osh on the Kyrgyz side.

Good to know
- Dustlik–Dostuk is open 24/7 according to the Uzbek border-crossing listings we checked (2024–2025 data), with a short lunch break; crossing usually takes 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. We re-check the regime before every booking.
- You carry your own luggage through the border zone (porters offer help for a dollar or two).
- Check whether you need a visa for Kyrgyzstan and for re-entering Uzbekistan — many nationalities are visa-free, but not all.

How do I get from Tashkent to Osh?
By private car with a handover at the Dustlik–Dostuk border: about 7–8 hours door to door. Sedan $280, minivan $340, 4x4 $380 — one price for both cars together, the same as on RideKG. For groups bigger than 6, ask us.
Does the car cross the border?
No. Changing cars is faster and avoids vehicle paperwork; the second driver is waiting when you come out.
Who drives on the Kyrgyz side?
A licensed driver arranged through our sister service RideKG, which runs transfers in Kyrgyzstan. You get both drivers’ details the evening before.
