The road
East through Angren, then up the A373 to the Kamchik pass (about 2,270 m) with its road tunnels, down to Pap and across the valley through Kokand to Fergana. Well-built mountain road; trucks slow the climb.

Good to know
- In winter the Kamchik pass is closed at times for snow or avalanche risk — on 12 February 2026 the authorities closed it for traffic for exactly that reason. We check the pass status the day before; if it is closed, the train via the Pap–Angren tunnel is the alternative.
- Fergana, Margilan and Kokand are all on this road; dropping in Margilan or Kokand costs the same.
