The road
Flat valley roads through orchards and villages: Fergana → Margilan (17 km) → Rishtan → Kokand → back to Fergana (about 90 km). We can also start or end in Margilan or Kokand.
Worth stopping
- Margilan — the Yodgorlik silk factory, where ikat is still dyed and woven by hand; Kumtepa bazaar on its market days.
- Rishtan — family ceramic workshops.
- Kokand — Khudayar Khan’s palace and the Juma mosque.
Good to know
- Kumtepa bazaar is busiest on its market days (usually Thursday and Sunday — we confirm when you book).
- Workshop visits are free or by small donation; buying is never required.
- Travelling on to Tashkent? Combine Kokand with Fergana → Tashkent the next day.
