- Not included: entrance tickets, your meals and hotels, a guide (the driver is not a guide), tips.
Per car, not per person
Many booking sites show “from $X per person”. Our prices are for the whole car: four people in a minivan on the 7-day trip pay a quarter of the price each. Compare like with like — a shared tour, a seat in a shared taxi and a private car with your own driver are different products.
Season and booking
Our prices are the same all year. Demand peaks in April–May and September–October, when the Afrosiyob train also sells out; book a few weeks ahead for those months. In winter the Kamchik and Takhtakaracha passes can close after snow — we confirm the day before and offer a new date or a full refund.
Tips
Tips are not included and not required. If you were happy, travellers usually leave the driver a few dollars a day or the equivalent in sum.

Questions
How much is a private driver in Uzbekistan per day?
From $100 for a sedan in Tashkent (8 h / 100 km) and from $150 a day on a Silk Road trip (10 h / 250 km), including the driver’s lodging.
Is it cheaper to book transfers or a driver by the day?
For a classic Tashkent – Samarkand – Bukhara – Khiva trip, separate transfers are cheaper if you do not need the car on your sightseeing days. A driver by the day pays off when you want the car every day or make many stops.
Do I pay the driver’s hotel?
No. On multi-day trips the driver’s lodging and meals are in the price.
